We prioritise the practical questions pet owners actually ask — what to feed, how to set up a home, how to spot a problem early — and answer them in plain language. Reader suggestions sent through our contact form help decide what we write next.
How sources are used
Before publishing, writers check guidance from recognised veterinary and animal-welfare organisations (for example the AVMA, ASPCA, RSPCA and the Merck Veterinary Manual) and link to the most relevant sources in the article. We avoid presenting opinion as fact, and our articles never replace individual advice from a veterinarian who has examined your pet.
How articles are updated
When recommendations change or we find a better way to explain something, we revise the article and show the date it was last updated at the top of the page.
Corrections and accuracy
If you spot a factual error, an unclear recommendation or an outdated section, please contact us and choose “Article Correction”. We review every report and correct confirmed errors as quickly as possible.
